Access and data handling
The controls your administrator can set, in plain language.
Read the guideAI in Brillrec is optional and limited. It suggests; your team decides.
Open BrillrecAn admin controls AI in Settings › AI review, with separate switches for Reconciliation and Close.
AI suggests matches for items the rules left open, explains one open item when asked, drafts the commentary on a reconciliation, and reads the headings of a file you upload. In masked mode, account, BVN, phone and card numbers, email addresses and dates in text are replaced before anything is sent.
AI imports a checklist from Excel, CSV or Word (people become placeholders first), writes three sentences at the top of the Monday overdue email from Brillrec’s own counts, and drafts a balance review explanation from an account’s balances when a preparer asks.
AI doesn’t sign off, approve journals or decide whether a control is operating. Controls, journals, e-invoice reconciliation, requests and evidence files don’t use AI. Our AI provider works under a written contract and may not use your data to train its models. Every AI use is in the audit trail, and AI text is labelled.
