Start the connection
Open Connections and find Bank feed (Mono). Choose Connect.
Load statement lines straight from your bank instead of uploading files.
Open BrillrecOpen Connections and find Bank feed (Mono). Choose Connect.
Mono’s window opens. Choose your bank and sign in with your usual online-banking details there, then approve read access. Your banking password is entered on Mono’s screen only; Brillrec never sees it.
Mono sends you back to Brillrec. The connection appears with a Working label. If it is not there yet, wait a few seconds and refresh the page.
Choose Add as a bank account on the connection. Brillrec fills in the bank, account number and account holder from Mono. Check them, then choose whether the bank side should load automatically after each period.
If you chose automatic loading, the statement lines are ready when the preparer starts the period. Otherwise choose Import from the connection on the Files step of a new reconciliation.
No. The connection is for reading statement lines only. Brillrec cannot make payments or transfers.
Yes. The Bank accounts page compares each linked account with its connection. If the number, bank or ledger code differs, it shows “shows different details”, and one click takes the connection’s details. The account’s currency is never changed this way.
Two accounts at the same bank cannot share a number. Brillrec offers to link the existing account to the connection instead of creating a second one.
Banks ask customers to renew access from time to time. Choose Reconnect on the connection and repeat the sign-in in Mono’s window. Your accounts and history are kept.
Choose Disconnect on the connection. Statement lines already loaded stay in their reconciliations.
The banks Mono supports. If yours is not in Mono’s list, upload the statement file instead; everything else works the same.
